Our Daily Bests

Maggie: “getting a lot of work done on Miller’s scrapbook” was her best.

Phil: “getting to see Wilson again after spending the night out at Granna’s was mine.”

Maggie: “my best was trying on Miller’s new clothes that Granna got for her.”

Phil: “mine was finishing the Lego Volkswagen! I only wish Wilson had been there to help finish it.”

Maggie: “my first best was when Miller dunked her head under the water in the tub during her bath tonight. But my real best was when Wilson said, ‘When I wake up tomorrow and get dressed, can I put on some cool clothes? That way when I play guitar I’ll look cool.’”

Phil: “mine was getting to see my work buddies again after a week off, but also when I got to work on the Lego VW with Wilson after work. It was also fun to see Miller getting pulled around in the cozy coupe by Wilson when I got home.”

Wilson: “mine was getting to play with Nathan while Mom exercized.”

Maggie: “getting to take a quick nap.”  yeah, it’s been a pretty crazy & busy week.

Phil: “Mine was Wilson taking a nap on top of me while I watched a movie, but it was also a lot of fun doing the Mentos + Diet Coke routine this afternoon.”

Wilson: “my best was getting my new light!”  Phil spent most of the day installing a new Formula 1-style pendant lamp in Wilson’s room, and a little dimmer switch by his bed so he can turn out the light after saying prayers.

Maggie: “mine was getting cleaned up after Christmas.”  Very much needed after 2 days of the kids rearranging the house with their new goods.

Phil: “mine was also getting the new light installed, especially after having had it for a YEAR now!”  The trick was learning how to get into the attic.

Wilson: “playing with Adam & our new presents was my best today.”

Maggie: “getting my toes done with Ashley was mine.”

Phil: “I enjoyed eating dinner with Andy & Ash.”

Wilson: “my best was running errands with Dad & playing Mario Kart Wii.”

Maggie: “mine was getting to see Ashley, Andy & Adam.”

Phil: “mine was also getting to see the family safely arrived & eating dinner with them.”

Wilson: “my best was going to work with Dad.” Bomgar hosted a Christmas party for the kids this afternoon, so Wilson hung around afterwards & helped me wrap a few things up before taking the rest of the week off.

Maggie: “I got started on the last painting that needs to get done before Christmas.”

Phil: “mine was working with Wilson. He was a big help with putting an old appliance back together.”

Wilson: “my best was just playing with Uncle John.” UJ came over after church & hung out with us for a little while.

Maggie: “eating lunch with the family was nice.” Indeed it was, and very welcome by me too after singing at two services.

Phil: “I really enjoyed singing Christmas songs in the choir this morning.” It was a lot of time well invested.

Wilson: “my best was watching Despereaux with Dad. And running errands with him.” It sure was nice to know we could help get out of Maggie’s way as she painted all day.

Maggie: “mine was finishing all but one painting for Christmas.” And they all look so good too!

Phil: “mine was hanging out with John & Allison Hertel this evening & knowing that our treehouse plans are doable. I also enjoyed errand and Despereaux.”
